2026 Irvine Lifestyle Study: Official Rules & Privacy Policy

1. Official Study & Giveaway Rules
Eligibility: The "2026 Irvine Lifestyle Study" (the "Study") and the associated $250 Javier’s Experience giveaway are open exclusively to legal residents of Irvine, California, who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
Participation Requirements:
Pre-Registration: Residents who pre-register before the March survey launch will receive an instant digital download of the Spring 2026 Strategy Guide. Pre-registration secures your spot on the "Early Access" list but does not constitute an entry into the giveaway.
Giveaway Entry: To enter the $250 Javier’s Experience drawing, participants must complete the 2026 Sentiment Study in its entirety during the active survey window in March 2026.
The Prize: One (1) winner will be selected via random drawing. The prize is a $250 gift card to Javier’s Restaurant. No purchase is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning.
The "48-Hour Early Access" Report: Pre-registered participants who successfully complete the March Study will receive the final aggregated "Irvine Sentiment Report" via email exactly 48 hours before the general participating public release. This report is a proprietary insight and will only be shared with Study contributors.
2. Privacy Policy & Data Protection
As a PhD-led research initiative, we take your data privacy seriously. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information in compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
Information We Collect: When you pre-register or participate in the Study, we may collect:
Identifiers: Identifiers: Your name, email address, neighborhood/village of residence, and mobile phone number (if provided).
Sentiment Data: Your opinions on local real estate, lifestyle preferences, and market outlook.
How We Use Your Data:
Research Integrity: Individual responses are kept strictly confidential. Only aggregated, anonymous data (e.g., "70% of Portola Springs residents feel...") is used for the final Sentiment Report.
Communication: We use your email to deliver the Strategy Guide, the Study link, and the final report. By participating, you agree to receive periodic market updates from Susan Zeng, PhD. You may opt-out at any time.
SMS Notifications: If you provided a mobile number and opted-in, we will use it strictly for essential Study milestones: sending your instant Strategy Guide link, a one-time launch reminder in March, and winner notification for the Javier’s giveaway. We do not use automated "robocall" systems or share your mobile data with third parties for marketing purposes.
No Third-Party Sales: We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third-party marketers or data brokers.
Your Rights (CCPA 2026): Under California law, you have the right to:
